Some guy who I dont know sent these pic's to me. One , im guessing the removed trim tag was suppose to be out of a big block 65 chevelle which is in process of frame off restored missing engine and tranny, second tag is a matching parts car...Was just wondering if this would help anyone here or just more garbage somebody is trying to peddle...

The only factory big block 65 Chevelles were the 201 copies of the Malibu SS396. Since they started life as a Malibu SS, I would think they should be model 13837, not 13637 like these trim tags indicate.

Sam,
The removed tag indicates a Powerglide transmission. I doubt the '65 396's came that way, but I could be wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]Your right Verne! All Z16's were 4 speeds. There is also a code on Z16 tags that is not on either tag. Plus the color codes are wrong. ONLY A FEW COLORS ON Z16'S K-K OR V-V NOT ONE OF THE COLORS.
