Location has changed a bit also, now in Fresno Tx, 11.5 miles from Missouri, TX both right outside of Houston.
Here's the documentation he had two months ago: "I have the following for documentation ~ Owner history going back to 1975, an old appraisal report stating the possibility of being a COPO, and certificate from the entity in possession of GM Tonawanda Engine records. There will no doubt be those who do not accept this as conclusive proof, so be it, you can buy it as a date correct clone and the difference between a incorrect paint and interior real deal COPO and a very good clone isn't that much. So buy it as a date correct clone if you don't believe the records I will show the winning buyer. The key issue here is the work that has gone into this car and how nice it is compared to most of the 1969 Chevelles you see anywhere." Another POP found, someday maybe I will be so lucky...

Another POP found, someday maybe I will be so lucky... [/ QUOTE ] That's our point here, Dave, highly unlikely that he 'found' the original POP. More likely that it's a made-up one from eBay or from the guy in Florida who advertises every month in Hemmings.

Funny no booklet for the POP, no tape on the POP and about two months of rust on it.
There is just about as much POP there as you get when you get a reproduction POP right off good ol' eBay... Kinda cheapens the value of the rest of our cars that have gennie paperwork to back 'em up. |

Bill,
I was being sarcastic, I know that all I have to do to be lucky is to put in the winning bid on e-bay for a POP, buildsheet, cowltag etc. I gotta find something to entertain myself with here in Florida till I can get back to Phoenix in a couple yrs. Dave
