Very nice car, very good description (no misleading wording). Fairly low price. What are the Motion guys opinions on this one? Possible? Possible Motion 'Vette?

Probably a Motion body kit bought mail-order back in the day but who knows? Remember when there were alot of Corvettes that looked like this? It reminds me of the "Cruisin' USA" series in Hot Rod or one of those great cover blurbs from the '70s: "VETTES! MILD TO WILD!"
Yes, it is nice to read a seeingly honest eBay item description. |

Very nice car but, I highly doubt that it's a Motion car. Back then all of the parts mentioned as "Motion" identifiers could have been purchased mail order through motion performance; in fact a friend of mine bought some Motion valve covers and a mirrored dash kit for his 1974 Corvette through Motion way back when.

-----All the pictured body pieces look to be Ralph "Ecklers" stuff. If you go into the catalog even today you will find all the same pieces. There are other aftermarket fiberglass places that have popped all of Ralphs stuff though so it would be hard to give the actual correct original manufacturer..............Bill S

I doubt that Joel would do that kind of bodywork on a car and not use his hood and would take the "Corvette" letters off the back of the car. I think this is just another wana-be Motion.
I agree with the others that to me it looks just like Ecklers body parts, especially the hood. ![]()

That is an L-88 hood... Why do you call that an "Eckler's" hood? Some people prefer the L-88 hood to any other hood... looks great on all C3 Vettes and 2nd Gen Camaros.
I do agree that is a beautiful & very straight car.

A True L-88 hood that looks like that one, only came from Chevrolet on 68-69 vette's. They are a "short" hood. What you are looking at is the L-88 raised area on a 73-79 "long" hood. Note there is no wiper door like all '69's have.
Therefor it has to have been a aftermarket hood. Ecklers and others made them so that you could update the older 68-72 cars with a neat looking hood. One thing is for sure is that it did not come from Chevrolet on a factory L-88.
