Hey Guys,
This radio is for my Camaro. Wanted: am/fm radio. The radio should be in perfect working condition. The unit should be show worthy and ready to pop into the car. Would like something moderately priced if possible. Thanks! -Dan

Do you want RPO U69-AM/FM Mono,or RPO U79-AM/FM Stereo? Rick |

I wanted the U-69 Push Button Radio.
What is the difference between the two? I looked on NastyZ28.com and they don't list the U-79 Sterio as an option for second generation Camaros.

You're right.RPO U79 was not a Factory option for the 1970 Camaro. It was in the Chevelle & others. It has a more symphonic sound, and should use 4 speakers when installed, for optimum listening.
Could you get 2 front speakers, and 2 rear speakers in a 1970 Camaro? The Mono used one speaker. The Stereo is usually 100.00 more then the Mono, whatever condition it is in.I don't have one here now,but I will look for you at Jefferson this weekend if you like. |

4 speakers was not an option in the 1970 Camaro. The only speaker option was the dual speakers (one speaker located on the center dash, and the other on the rear sill behind the seat) which my car does have. If you would not mind looking for me that would be great. I have an Am Push button radio in my car now so I figure an am/fm push button would be the right way to go (?). Thanks.
