According to the article this is the first '67 Camaro SS 427 converted by Joel Rosen/Motion. To test the viability of the "425 hp" installation they used an L-88 in this first car. Car did the 1/4 in 11.50/125 mph with a 4-speed and 4.56 gears.
This photo shows that the magazine editors cropped-in the grille a smaller photo of the 427 emblems on the hood. Another photo shows that the car in fact had an SS emblem in the grille. Blueline tires with International mags, 14x6. |

Same car parked in front of Baldwin Chevrolet. The article says that this guy, Dave Bean, and Ed Simonin, the owner of the '69 Motion Z/28 in the other thread, were the owners of Baldwin Chevrolet. Note '67 Camaro at the left in the showroom.
Car lacks the optional Style Trim Group, which consisted of driprail chrome, wheelwell chrome, and side pinstripes. |

Left to right: Jack Geiselman, John Mahler, Joel Rosen. Note the earlier version of the Motion sign on the building. Mahler and Geiselman worked at Motion and performed the 427 swap. Note also the "427" emblems on the side of the stock SS Camaro hood.
Mahler's T-shirt would probably fetch $5000 on eBay... |

Another shot showing the 427 emblem placement on the stock SS hood. Caption says that's Dave Bean. Article says he was co-owner of Baldwin Chevrolet. You'd be happy too if you could drive an L-88 '67 Camaro.
