Does anyone have any experience with the items called Car Dolly or Car Skates. These are the dolly's on wheels to move your car around. I'm in the market to buy 4 and would like to see if anyone has a preference to type, style and move-ability when the car is on them.
I appreciate any advise. Thanks again for a great site. Ed

If I bought some I would get Go Jacks. They are expensive but lift each wheel by stepping on a pedal.

I have used both the skates and the go jacks. The go jacks are the way to go and are much easier to move a car around on.

or the cheap ones, I bought a set of these this weekend, to be honest the wheels look like they will work well, I had a 300lb dude stand on one and he rolled around the rough concret at the swap meet ok. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2458285813 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I bought some of the cheap ones and I'm not sure they will do the job. I put 4 of them under one of the Novas and it will barely move. Something doen't seem right to me. I have to take a closer look at the situation. Thaks, Tom.

Thanks for the replies.....it sounds like GoJak to me is the way to go, but ill wait for more feed back. I believe the move-ability is in the size of the rollers, and looks like the better ones use upto 4 in casters. GoJak's - at the 6000lb md go for 199.00 each - little pricey....but if compared to the ones of several hundred that do not move with the car on it.....they could be worth the money!
The one site above has free shipping, which is another bennie. Ed

The GoJacks are not made for wide tire applications though...as in slicks.

The gojaks jack up each wheel themselves while the other ones just go under the wheel after you jack the car up. You see many tow companys using Gojaks when they need to position a car to where they can hook onto it.
