Kim, I cant provide any info on 70-7? Camaro 6 cyl shroud, but curious what youre working on with 6cyl???. FYI the small block shrouds were made in two designs and are both TWO-PIECE units. The 70-72 Big Block shroud is a ONE piece design, and in my opinion is one of the most RARE 2nd Gen Camaro parts to find, NOS or in excellent used...Chuck S

Russ, My 70 race car was a org 6 cyl car. The pictures of the motor area taken when the car was new with the ZL-1 motor shows a shroud. I have been on E-Bay checking shrouds and the 71,72,73 are different. I just wondering if the 6 cyl is what I looking for?? Kim

Kim,
You may be right as the Chad's DH Camaro has the small block shroud. I wonder though on the 6 cylinder as weren't the big block engines offset in the frame as opposed to the 6 cylinders?

Kim,

Here is the answer to your question. 6 Cyl in '70 came standard with a "cap" (Half shroud) which attached to the Radiator cover plate which is located atop the core support. This is where the factory emmissions decals were placed.

But there is also an exception... If a 6 cylinder was equipped with option V0-1 HD Cooling, (AC) then the small type standard small block V8 shroud was installed.

No AC gets the 6 cyl the CAP. AC gets the 6 cyl the shroud.
