Coming up for auction. Has been in a flood and had water to mid door. All there and was driven to sale site. What will it go for?

auction was at the Garland, PA insurance pool auction. Car was super clean, other than the silt left behind from the water. Bidding started at $9000 and ended at $12,600. The winning bidder did it by phone and from the sounds of it it was heading overseas

The insurance company paid off $29,000

So what happens to a car when it has been under water like that? Is there things that need to be done to make sure that things don't go wrong?

First under seas, now over them...

Can't say I have much fondness for Torinos, but it looked like a pretty clean car for the money.

Taking it down to bare metal and going back up from there is about the only recourse. It was already showing rust coming out of the pinches on the doors, trunk lid and hood.
