Default Who made the 69 Z-28 headers question

What manufacturer made the headers for the '69 Z-28? I've read in one source that Kustom Headers was one of the manufacturers.
I have an NOS set of headers made by Kustom Headers out of Standish Mi. They are painted white and the mounting flange that goes up against the block is square rectangular. They fit the 67-69 SB Camaros & Novas etc. Don't know the date made but they are very old. The instruction sheet said they fit 67-69 Camaro and 68-70 Nova plus many others. Since the sheet does not mention anything after '70 I would presume they were made in late '69 or sometime in '70.
Plus Kustom has been out of business since the mid '70's at least.

The correct answer is no one. Headers were not optional for 1969. If you carfully read the '68 AIM it appears Chevy discontinued them March '68.

The Thomas headers had the slip fit collector and the Kustom headers had the 4 bolt flange collector. They are listed as options for 67-68, not 69. I would imagine that dealers would still offer them if they had leftover stock. Which collectors do they have?

Hello Jeff
The collectors I have are 3 1/2" in diameter and are 3 bolt. The tubes are 1 7/8 and the part number is 1305. I found an old catalog listing and they are for race applications. I placed them up against a set of Hookers for the same application and the collector itself is shorter-probably 2"or so.

I believe the GM headers(Kustom and Thomas) were 1-3/4" tubing.

Can someone give more info on these White, square flange at the block and square collector flange headers?

I'm pretty sure I got a set with all the stuff I got when I purchased my camaro.
