Default 02 ZL1 wheels/Z06, Need help with size.

I need help with size and backspacing for the Z06 wheels
on an 01 SS. I would like to put 18" all around but would settle for 17" front if I might have clearance problems. What problems might I encounter if any, wheel spacers ect? I noticed an aftermarket company is now offering 20" Z06 wheels, any oppinions on 20" rear 18" front? I like the 02ZL1 look, The Nicky car really looks nice with the chrome wheels. I have posted this question on another site with no luck. If you have any information on the ZL1 size or any info on the subject in general I will greatly appreciate your time. Thanks guys.

I'm not sure about the 20" wheels, but I don't think you'll have any problems with the 18"s. Check with the guys over at www.slpeng.com . Many of them are running these wheels on their 4th gens. You might search over at www.ls1.com too. Dan

Jeremy,

Good luck getting through on the SLP Engineering site. It was shut down on 8/20/03.

I would suggest you e-mail Matt Murphy at [email protected] or send him a private message here on this site. As his company built all of the ZL1 Camaro's, I'm sure he can give you alot of input on both the Z06 wheels and the Cragar's that they installed on the '02 ZL1 cars.
