Default Mystery hubcap - what is it?

I found an interesting Chevy hubcap that I hadn't seen before. I'm curious as to what it is correct for. Does anyone have any idea? Please see the link below.

Thanks! Was that the only year it is correct for?

I guess I don't see many '61 Impalas around, so that's why I had never seen a cap like that before. Maybe it would be good for some garage wall decorations.

I believe that is the only year and car it was used on. The SS used the same cap only with a 3 bladed spinner attached.

Definitely 1961 Chevy full sized only. But not "Impala". It was the optional "accessory full wheel cover". Even the Impalas came stock with the dog dish caps.

IT IS AN IMPALA ONLY HUBCAP! YOU COULD GET POVERTY CAPS ON AN IMPALA, BUT YOU COULD NOT GET THAT CAP ON A BELAIR OR BISCAYNE!

Wow,
Only my 3rd post and already an argument. I'll go to the books tonight and double check. The search for truth goes on......
By the way Don, when you use caps, it looks like you're yelling.

Do I recall a Verne Frantz who was with the NJ Chapter of Late Great Chevies ??? Last I heard they were decoding trim tag codes...I think the cap picteured is a deluxe cap which probably could be had on any full size 61...if you paid extra for it.
