Default smog pump question

how do you pull the fan off the pump? thanks

It's a press fit. If it's white, leave it there!! I had Bill Hodel, a smog pump guru, pull off my black one with a screwdriver, and replace it with a white one. Admittedly, he wasn't particularly careful with the black one as it has no value, but by the time he got it off, it was unusable.

As stated, be very carefull with the white fan. They become brittle over the years. White fans are factory, black are replacements.

Although Bill Hodel is primarily a Corvette guy, he has good knowledge of early GM smog systems. He has helped me in the past.
