Can pick up a 427 truck bare block for cheap. Block casting is 340220 with a partial VIN of T1122AKT which shows it as a L43. Block is a 4 bolt block is it worth the C note they are asking for. Guy is clearing out some of his old stuff to make more room and has been bored 30 over. Is it worth it to build it up as a mild street engine?
(I also asked on the 2 TC sites/just trying to get as many thoughts I can before I buy)

That's a tall deck truck block. I think that lots of parts for passenger car engines don't interchange.

I was afraid of that. Think that I did like about the block though is how clean it was and the fact that it was a 4 Bolt main block.

You're just gonna use it as a foot rest anyway, so a tall deck would be better!

If it's not too late, grab the crank...it will be a forged 3.76" piece. You could use it, but some of the stuff would have to be different (intake, rods &/or pistons, distributor)...they make pretty good race blocks because they can usually take a pretty over bore.
