I talked to Barker and Murphy today. They were pretty stoked about how well the day went. Sounded like a couple Magazines and a few News Crews were there ? Helen Gibb was a Delight as always. I hope Barnhart didn't steal any more Kids.

We kept the grandkids away. We had 2 tv stations, 1 radio, stories going to 3 mag. and 4 newspapers. Guess who got the tv interviews. kb

Oh sure, let Barnhart do the interviews. Now everybody will think Camaro people are Criminals....

Charley,
You'll be happy to hear the only car he broke today was his own. Matt wouldn't even let him drive the new car. They stuck Ken in the 'old' car while Matt fried the tires of '02 #16. He DOES know how to do a burn!
Pretty neat day.

An ol' drag racer without a line lock ?? NO WAY !! Yes, it does have the line lock. Does anybody out there have pictures of the 2 Barnhart cars doing the burnouts ? It would be great to see them !

Dennis,
I have the shots but I don't have the software loaded for the new camera yet. I'll work on it Thursday and see if I can post them. Hopefully someone else will beat me to it.

I was one of the lucky ones to pick up my 400 hp - ZL1 in LaHarpe on the 31st. GMMG (Matt Murphy and crew) did a super job on all the cars. My car has the distinction of being the only 2002 ZL1 bought and sold in Illinois. I have only driven it 13 miles but it is very fast and smooth handling and operating. I am comparing the "fast" by my 73 Z-28 RS with a 502 ci engine, 2-4's, 3.73 gear, automatic with 3500 stall - it is no slouch. The Mayor of LaHarpe helped make the 31st a memorial day in LaHarpe.
