Default By Berger dealer emblem - Cheverolet - REAL

Hey Friends, another not often seen treat here:

I have a genuine By Berger rear panel / deck dealership emblem available here.

As we all know, they were a very involved and connected dealer in the metro Detroit area back in the heyday... I don't need to repeat that here.

This emblem is certainly a real one from that era as evidence by it's general patina and presentation.

It is the correct length and style - it is the chrome plated cast pot metal version with the flat letters and is slightly thicker than the stamped version.

The screw holes are beveled and the casting release marks / flash on the backside are correct.

It is unrestored of course and presents its age unapologetically - a driver / survivor piece and / or a great start for a restoration.

Several very detailed and up close photos below to give the entire picture.

It has not been fluffed at all, not even wiped off.

These 5X photos show it worse than it appears in your hand, but I strive to show the whole story... it is what it is.

Again, these real, vintage emblems are scarce in any condition IMO.

Repops are available, but significant cars deserve the real deal, again, IMHO.

It's the details that stand out.

NOT a reproduction.

Cheers all,
Anthony
