From my research this is a 1968 only 427-390 HP aluminum Q-jet intake manifold. Casting #3919849. Date is cast in the bottom. Message with any questions or additional pictures. $350.00 plus shipping. Thank you.

----I installed one of these 849 intakes on an LS5 70 SS Chevelle convert. I'm almost posative it had a 69 date on it. Only reason I used it was because it really dressed up the engine which was the original. Of course I stripped all the paint off!.....Bill S

Bill, I used 'Chevrolet by the numbers' as a reference. I'm certainly no expert so I'm not going to doubt you. I had never seen one before this one came along with a project car I bought.

performance ? Or just less weight? Thanks GLWS Gregg Last edited by ruralrte66; 11-15-2022 at 08:53 PM. Reason: forgot GLWS |

----Nothing particular about performance. I just thought there was enough Chevy orange already under the hood. Back then it was really cheap and just looked the part of a performance engine in a performance car with the aluminum in your face!.....Bill S

I put one on my '67 Chevelle SS many years ago. I think someone gave it to me. I couldn't afford anything else at the time that was aluminum.
