I'm curious about this one I know some strange things happened in the factory. It appears a gang stamp was used and the numbers have consistent spacing. Could this just be a factory double stamp? or someone trying to hide something?

Double Stamps / bounced stamps in themselves are not uncommon. I have seen 2 and even three of the same stamp, once on a transmission.

I have many, many double stamps in my pad library, this is one of my favorites because you keep trying to focus on it as it appears blury. This is a confirmed original stamp correcting a 9 to a 6. It should have been ground and restamped correctly.

It would go through a Regional or National NCRS event or Bloomington Gold. Any stamp with a question will go to a higher authority. They would look at stamps with an exact same build date and assembaly code and look for VIN numbers surrounding the stamp they are looking at.
