As the story goes the car was dinged in a parking lot in 1975 and the original owner decided to store the car until he was confident the repaired fender paint would match. Perhaps family life & work took priority and the years (45) just passed by...... The storage environment had not been ideal and has taken its toll on the underside and lower sheetmetal, however what a fantastic car!

That's probably my least favorite hood of the muscle Mopars. Nonetheless, a spectacular, rare car.

A friend of mine found a U code 71 Super Bee identical to this one back around 1985 in Memphis, Mo for $600 with a pair of huge aluminum slots and 50 series tires on the rear. Last time I saw it he was pulling out of the bowling alley and laid about 500 feet of rubber in it and I never saw it again. Always wondered what happened to that car since I thought it was super cool as a 13 year old wanna be.

It just takes one knee on a cold day to split those seems. It happened to me a couple years ago - It was January and I went to put the new registration in the glove box and put a knee on the seat bottom to lean across the driver's seat...RRRRIP. That was the seat in my Gramma's Firebird. Luckily I was able to find NOS material and had it repaired. Man, was I mad at myself for that!!!
