Does anyone know what converter came in the 1969 camaro Copo 427 stall speed and size Thank You

L-88 torque convertor with the six mounting lugs for the bolts were used. Approximate stall was around 2800 rpm depending upon torque of your specific combination. 12" or 13" diameter.

I think it is a 12” converter and stall was 2,200-2,600, they were the only 6 bolt converter from gm at the time

The 6 lug convertor was used with all the L78, L72 and LS6 applications...and the other 427's [L88, L71, ZL1]. It was also used with the hi-perf small block applications like the 70 deuce and the LT1 Z28 and Vette.

I did some research a few years back and learned these 6 lug units were also used in some HD commercial applications and a foreign car that used the TH400.

I'm not sure what, if any, different stall speeds were selected.

Last time I checked a few parts sources there was still a few of these floating around.

The 6 lug converter was used up through at least the 73 Z28... my brother's first 73 z28 with TH400 had the 6 lug converter, FWIW the auto for the Z28 was more expensive.
