Hey all.
Anyone interested in '94-96 Impala SS's? I've been working w/ gent. who will be looking to sell a few likely sooner than later. I have yet to see/inventory them but I will likely be assisting and marketing them for him. I've always thought they were pretty cool cars...not the 'John Moss one' cool, but cool nonetheless. So if anyone has any interest feel free to chime in here. This site is kind of my 'home base' for true & knowledgeable enthusiasts of many types hence my initial share here. If there's any interest, when the time comes I'll be posting in the classified section but for now I'm on more of a marque-specific fact finding/exploring mission. Any comments, info or resources to share in the meantime would be greatly appreciated & I'll be posting updates as more comes to light. Have a great one! Mark

Best car I ever owned: 95/Black Cherry. Put 100,000 miles on it and only had one issue: thermosat went bad.

A family friend had a 1996 black cherry one with about 5k miles. Was an all original garage queen. He also recently had a 1994 in black with about 10k miles. They're comfortable cruisers with decent power for fun. I think they'll continue to appreciate in value.

Best family car I have ever owned. I bought my 95 brand new when my wife couldn't get my new born son into his car seat in the back of our Lincoln LSC. when my son got his license, we gave him the car! If some moron texting while driving, had been paying attention, my son would still be driving it! The only issues were the opti-spark, and it ate water pumps!

----I have a 1994 Caprice wagon which is essentially the same thing. Bought it with 50,000 on it in 2008. It now has 184,000 on it and is pretty much my winter and any rainy day vehicle. Its been the best car repair wise that I have ever owned. Just today I picked it up from my buddy's repair shop. He replaced some front end stuff. The last time it was worked on was the Opti-Spark back in 2014 and a water pump at the same time. Other than wear items......nothing else!...…Bill S

Great stuff to hear so far. Looks like I'll be going out tomorrow early evening to get my eyes on the width and breadth of the project. I'm hoping to get a marketing agreement signed off and be able to share more info.

I had a 1996 9c1 patrol car. Essentially an Impala SS in a plain wrapper. Had a push bar on the front and working spotlight. It had lots of miles when I got it but never really knew how many because the speedometer always read something different. Drove it around 40k until a better beater came up but really enjoyed driving the thing and would laugh when I saw the front end drop on oncoming speeders cars when they spotted the Po Po coming at them. My Brother had a really Cherry 1994 Impala SS he bought from the local Chevy dealer after the original owner traded it in. Another great car.

These cars do have a following, it would be fun to drop in a LT4 or LS9 in one.

I totally agree w/ the LS swap option...would make a pretty sinister & comfy sleeper.
I did also find a company that does an auto to manual swap that would compliment an LS perfectly. Unfortunately, like many of these stories go, I have not yet been able to pin down an agreement w/ the owner of the cars (busy etc etc.) so I don't have anything significant to add to the thread yet. I can post a teaser pic though.
