I wonder if one of you guys who have Newspapers.com access (I think Peteleathersac did at one point) could search the plate to see if any old Clippinger ads came up. I believe the old LA Times ads required you to list the plate number when selling a car.

It is a Special Paint Code "Competition Orange" car that has had one repaint in its original color since new.

Z-Z Paint = British Green

Z-Z is special paint for the first half of '68 and then the "Z" paint code is used for British Green when that is introduced as an available color mid-year.
