Strip Clean in Santa Ana, CA guys name is Charlie Masters. I had a hood done by him and it came out great. His tanks accommodate a whole car if needed.

There are some shops out there that use an alkaline mixture......much safer than acid. Reddi-Strip used to - not sure if they still do. Acid can be a gift that keeps on giving - no matter how carefully it is rinsed/neutralized.

no kidding..i had a 66 nova decklid stripped years ago. they dipped it, neutralized it, and primed it for me..was impressed....got busy with work..it sat in my shop for 6 or 7 months and i saw a wet spot on a corner on the upper skin...ignored it a month later it was bigger...investigated and there was a dark spot... poked it and it was a hole...and the metal was paper thin...and by the time i was done i had about a handful of junk that was paint and acid that was trapped and the dipper didnt get it clean...ruined a 400 dollar arizona deck lid and was a lesson
by the time i paid shipping..for the deck lid and the cost of dipping it was about a 650 dollar lesson...dont dip anything is what i learned...keeping the tank clean is a big deal and most dont..ive seen lines on parts where it sat in 8 or 9 inches of sludge in a tank...i just personally would never do it...theres better options and its very expensive around here

Redi-Strip here in Roselle did a fantastic job dipping 2 doors for me.
Second the neutralizing step,it's 90% of a successful process. |

There is a Co. in Evansville ,In. that does it, a restoration shop here takes the body and all the small parts/panels there on every car he restores, a great way to get rid of rust and start fresh.
I have a pair of 69 Camaro doors he dipped, they come out beautiful.
