N44 Fast Ratio Box ID Help

Need help to identify a real Quick ratio 69 Z/28 manual steering box.

Does a Fast ratio box have an aluminum cover or cast iron cover/adjustment plate.
Any specific casting #'s between an aluminum top vs cast iron top on the Box itself ?

Why aluminum and cast iron covers ?
Cast #'s & pics appreciated.
