Default Mom took one for the team today.....

And I am beginning to think I did to!

We went to the Sunday TestNTune at Capital today with Matts Tin Soldier IV and my Wife's new CTS VSport (~1,000 miles).

Kids are so hooked now that I only got to make 1 pass in each car!

At one point, Matt and Meredith wound up head to head. Both cars put out mid 400 RWHP, and the weight is not too much different. Both kids are inexperienced, but this was Matt's first actual run driving (he has run shotgun a few times with me explaining things).

He was pumped when he took his sister, and ran the 3rd best time in Tin Soldier IV so far 13.10 @110 MPH.

My wife was pretty nervous though.

Best in the caddy was me at 13.28 and the Camaro at 13.04, but there was a guy at the track with the exact same CTS VSport and his best was a 12.89 so I know the CTS can do better.

Ill have to sneak it out on a Wednesday TnT when there are fewer people and no kids (if I can sneak out without them catching me :innocent: ) and see what I can get out of it.

It was just great that the kids are enjoying racing so much.

That CTS-V Sport running a 12.89 is pretty impressive.

Yes, I cannot wait to see what I can do in it with a few runs to get used to it.

The only thing he did was to remove the engine cover as he heard that traps heat.

He was running his in sport mode with the traction control set to performance instead of off.

That's my Son in front with his Camaro and my Daughter in back with my wife's CTS
