Hi guys, I have a question about a tab on a 70 Z28 carb throttle
arm. In the picture (C. Lillard's) of Charley's 1100 mile Camaro there is a tab attached to the bell-crank that the throttle return spring attaches to. NOT the fixed end at the rear bracket. My engine is missing that piece. I do not know if it is a LA built only deal since mine is a NOR car. How is it attached and where can I get one?????? I've looked thru Holley's info, talked with Eric @ Vintage Muscle Car Parts, and looked at a variety of online aftermarket warehouses, and dozens of pictures of Holley carbs online. Since Charley does not have the car anymore I'm wondering if anyone else has anything similar or can help in discovery? Thanks Dicky

If you're talking about the front hook up for the return spring, my 4490 (70 Z28 automatic) carb has the same set up. That throttle shaft goes through that arm which is also attached to the throttle linkage and is at the lower end, the upper end has a arm that rests on an idle solenoid. What is the list number of the carb you are working with?

Thanks John, the carb is a 4555 & a 4spd car. That's one of the things I was wondering about
is if it would be different AUTO vs. MANUAL. I don't have the electric fast idle. Am I supposed to?? I'm second owner so who knows. That arm is not on the throttle arm. Does the spring just hook into a hole on the existing bell-crank like the ball-stud does for the cable? Dicky p.s. Charley's car was an AUTOmatic as well.

Sorry but I can't help you out with pictures of a stick shift carb. You're gonna have to wait for someone else to help with that.
