1100837 date

Hello...I know of a guy selling a 9J12 1100837 alternator. It looks a tad suspicious. Does anyone know if this is a valid date for this alternator...?

Does anyone have a list of the known dates on the 1100837 alternators? This would be helpful in looking for one. But it might make it easier to fake.
