Here is a car I was asked to perform the pre-purchase inspection on, a couple years ago. I went to Salt Lake City and spent about 4 hours going over this Sting Ray on behalf of a gentleman in British Columbia.
This Corvette was ordered new, by a gentleman in Pittsburgh, by the name of Harwood Dorman. Harwood lives in the same house, with the same phone number, that he did in 1967, when he ordered this Vette from Yenko Chevrolet. Don Yenko was in the room when Harwood ordered this car from salesman Joe Jackovic. This L89 is one of only 16 ever made in 1967 and retains its original new car order form, deposit receipt, down payment receipt, GMAC floor plan sheet, window sticker and build sheet #7. It has been through many battles and surely shows some battle scars but, what a cool piece of cool Corvette and Yenko history. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

WW car and great to know it even exists, the Yenko provenance is the icing!
If the same great BC fella I'm thinking of, the car couldn't have found a better home also has a few other amazing midyear stablemates! ~ Pete

That is a cool car, the only '67 big block Corvette with chrome valve covers. The L89's don't get the attention that the L88's do. They are my favorite of all '67's.
I'd love to see the paperwork. |

The l88 is a whole different animal. I would rather have a l88. It doesn't matter, but the 67 l89 would never approach l88 numbers in an auction.
