Default L78 Nova

All,

What is your opinion on value for a 1970 Nova 396/375? Original engine and TH400, column shift, no docs, no options. Body is decent but would need some rust repair and repaint.

Just checking to see if the seller is I'm the ballpark. Thanks!

Reality on what 69, 70 L78 Novas have change hands recently for (in this condition), high teens, low's twenty's more realistic. Column auto cars seem to be a limited audience

Condition, originality, high dollar bolt ons ??, repairs needed, driveline status, etc...all play a role in pricing any of the L78 cars. Hard to value a car with out seeing it and knowing all the details. LOL

What do they go for done ? 75k-100k ? Thats usually a good indicator of what your pre restoration price should be . Unless your doing the majority of the work yourself ? or just love the particular car.
Good news is there are several for sale to choose from currently . Good luck

Like Sully said.. Very limited audience. 70 Nova L-78 automatic cars are rare. But usually dont bring the money 4 speeds do. Also no docs, that hurts. In todays economy, its best to find one thats done. Just my 2 cents.

Nice looking car...you would be hard pressed to build it for that much money, at least I can't ...window sticker is not real..GM docs call out 731 std. interior...photos show std. interior...but, window sticker lists custom interior (732)...FYI: all of the original window stickers I've seen do not say "Willow Run"..they say "Ypsilanti Michigan"

The ad mentions power steering, but it is not listed on the GM docs...steering wheel insert is wrong, as are the headlite bezels, I don't see a remote mirror...these are little items, but they confirm that all cars must be looked at carefully and in person. I've never seen a KC coded L78 (HD clutch)...though that code is listed in Colvin's book.

Again...it is a sharp looking car...perhaps more info will be shared.

Go Giants..wilma
