Hey all,
Happened to remember that once the warm weather comes, there is a car show in the back parking lot of a burger king/office building complex off one of the main roads in my area, and it's about 5 minutes away from work for me. So I get out of work at 6, and I head over to take a look, as I'd missed the first 2 weeks of the show ( they meet every Monday night from about 430 to 830-ish, depending on weather ). So I'm walking around, drinking in the glory ( being 17 years old, I missed out on the years of growing up with cars like 396 Camaros and Chevelles, 427 'vettes, 428 mustangs, etc etc ). As I'm walking around, a Yellow 1968 Chevy Nova catches my eye. The hood is popped and so is the trunk. The first thing I notice is the fly-eye air cleaner, And I'm like hey, reminds me of a Motion car. Then I move to the side of the car, and on the window above the quarter panel is a one the yellow Motion Performance stickers. Now I'm realllllly interested. I keep looking all around the car, and I notice the 427 tags on the fenders, as well as the Phase I style paint on the hood. I look in the interior, and see a 'Sun' tach ( I can't remember exactly what it said, but the tach looked exactly the same as the pictures of others that have been posted here before. ), and I look at the trunk and see a Baldwin Chevrolet sticker on the trunk. At this point I'm excited as hell, but I'm figuring its a clone, because hey, what are the chances that a REAL motion car would be in my little home town? Lo and behold, the owner is standing behind the car as I'm searching around it like a hound dog. After I was done letting my jaw drill holes in the asphalt for a few minutes, I got up the nerve to go over and ask him about the car. I think it may have taken him by suprise that a 17 year old kid was asking some questions that weren't completely stupid about a car that was built 40 years ago. Anyhow, He ( throughout this ordeal, I forgot to get his name! Idiot! *smacks forehead* ) says that the car is indeed a real Baldwin Motion car. I asked him about having a letter from Joel Rosen, and lets just say he didn't agree with the whole paying $1500 deal. He bought the car 4 years ago from out west, California I believe. He mentioned taking it to 2 shows in Pennsylvania last year, but I fail to recall the names of the shows. The car looked to be in perfect shape, and must have undergone a restoration not all that long ago. While on subject, he also mentioned that he recently purchased a Holley 3-barrel carb off ebay. He was still trying to work out some bugs getting everything to run correctly, so he had put on a 4-barrel just to get it running and driving around. He'd just put 4.56 gears in it very recently, and was essentially driving it around to break them in. I was so awestruck by the whole thing that I went home and grabbed my camera, and came back. I took at least 10-20 pictures of the car, and all the little details I'd noticed. I also took pictures of just about every other car there, but spent a lot more time on this one lol. When I get home from work later today, I'm going to try and post the pictures I took. I didn't know if anybody had already posted something on this car, but I figured it'd be a cool thing to share anyway ![]()

Hey James - you got us all on the edge of our seats. One thing tho - we took a vote. In order for you to continue on this website you will HAVE to modify your user name.............................................. ................................ Drop the " n' dumb "!!!!!
So far we have seen NO evidence of such and we love having the young generation so engaged in the vintage muscle car world!! ![]() ![]()

Hey guys, sorry it took so long to try and get these up here, the past few days haven't been too kind to me. I found out what it's like to hit a Jersey barrier, and it isn't fun. Wreck wasn't my fault, but alas, I'm still paying damage because the other guy took off. But enough of that, on with the photos!
