How cool is this? (except for the price-$139.95)

Nice. At our local "Cars & Coffee" there is a guy that comes out with a trailer setup with one of the large slot tracks. Pretty cool.
I think it's called Games2U or Racing2U or something. They also sell the track sets. Not cheap.

I ran a lot of the AFX small cars and tracks, but never got to do the big ones. There was a store that was set up that you could go race them though.

I do remember me and a buddy getting all of our straight AFX track and making a drag strip the length of my parents hallway. We would buy the larger foam tires, hopped up motors, etc and race, crashing them into a pillow at the end of the line.

My car was similar to a Charger, black with a blower. Between the tires and hot motor it would try to pull the wheels the whole track, which made it kind of bounce the whole way. Went through a lot of those contact shoes.

That track is awesome. Similar to the trailer version that comes to our Cars &amp; Coffee. I remember a hobby shop that had this too, but it was a LONG time ago. Very cool. Makes me wish I had a basement.

This thread made me go up in the attic and pull out some of my old toys....I was gonna take some pics of my old slot cars...but then I remembered this toy.

I forgot I even had this little car..( I guess it is a toy??)..I bought this at E'town swap meet many years ago just beacuse it is sooo cool!! It was really dusty but still works great.(I left it sitting out of the original box for a few years. ..duh !!) I posted a vid on Youtube...hope you like..

Im really a Camaro/Chevy guy, but I thought this was one of the coolest little car toys Ive ever seen..so I bought it... <object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/AdRSdTugOtw"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/AdRSdTugOtw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> </embed></object>

Im not sure if you can tell in the vid, but the blower belt actually spins...and it is really neat how the exhaust flames light up with the revs of the engine...and the body even shakes like a real funny car....this toy has a tape in the rear that has to be rewound now and then for the narration... Ive been playing with this toy more the last two days then the whole time Ive owned it.... haha

BTW...does anyone know if it came with a plastic cover?? For some reason I remember the guy I bought it from mentioning it was missing the cover..?? Ive never seen another...Im sure someone here has !!

You are correct. There is supposed to be a clear plastic cover with kind of a beveled top and a Legends emblem in the center of the top section.

I now have mine in my office and run it every now and then when I want to have some fun or brighten my day.

I used to have it in the garage next to the real Cudas (back when I had some) and would play it for visitors when they would ask what's it like to drive a HemiCuda......
