Hello
I was wondering if anyone from this site could help me out in tracking down the original LS-6,M-22 and rearend from my chevelle or at least find out if it no longer exists,I know this is a REAL LONG SHOT, however I have been in contact with the original owner who stated to me that he street raced this car on fri and sat nites in the McConnelsville area of Ohio for a few years before he was talked into replacing it with a 396 by a mechanic from Crooksville. Now apparently this car was well known, because the owner used to drive it around in that area with drag slicks( this is how I actually located the owner)The car is cranberry red and was sold new at Bill Janes Chev in McConnelsville to a Terry Johnson with the license plates TJS 454. He traded it in for a new corvette at Point Break Chev around 1972, seen it around the area for about 3 more years before it dissapeared. Which makes sense because when i got the car with Calif blue plates, it had a stack of reg stickers that started with 1975 as the first year it was registered in Calif. Any HELP would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance Geoff.

Do you have a VIN, or at least a build date to help determine if someone has the drivetrain parts for your car?

Yes i do have the vin #, but i only want to post part of it, so that i dont get any calls from say someone that just stamped it. the vin# is 136370A125xxx build date of 01C. Cranberry red/ with black bench seat interior, 4-speed with 3:31 posi. The car has only one option that i know of and that is the cowl induction hood. As i stated earlier it was bought new at Bill Janes Chevrolet in McConnelsville, Ohio and was customer ordered by Terry Johnshon and had custom plates (?) TJS454. I really, really appreciate any info on this car, what is wild about this car, is that the more time i spend in documenting this car, the more stuff i find out about it, which sounds crazy, but i get a strange feeling that i just may find out what happened to the drivetrain or i will find it alltogether. Thanks, Geoff

Geoff I have family in McConnelsville,Reinersville, Marietta and Beverly OH. I lived there when I was younger and my father turned wrench's at Bill Janes Chevy. I spoke with him today about your car and he looked at me like the RCA dog. He told me he does not remember what he did yesterday and I should talk with my aunts ex husband Dean. I'll see if he knows anything he had lots of cars up untill the early 80's.
