Default 1970 l78 Chevelle ss vacuume pod

When I restored my L78 70 chevelle I noticed that when I took out the original vacuume pod on the cowl hood I noticed that the centre
tab was srewed in to the pod.The car was built at the Kansas City plant the 3rd week of November 1969.
Is this an early design or is this the normal way they were manufactured for GM.?

That's the way it was assembled.
I don't really think it was an early vs. late thing.
Delco-Remy manufacturered those in both versions, crimp connect & screwed on.I have a few Air Conditioning vacuum actuators that are in both versions as well, dated in boxes from the mid 70's to late 80's..
