low mileage seats (7 miles)

my friend helping me with my 67 hemi gtx, also has a hemi ebody. I asked him where is the original interior to his car (its set up for drag racing), he said when the car was new, they drove it 7 miles from the dealership, ripped out the interior, and stored it away.

So I asked him, do you have your buildsheets? He said no, all that stuff came out during drag racing, if it was in the dash. I said we need to check those seats.....if the mice have not found them first....

I thought this real story was pretty unbelievable, worth sharing. 7 mile hemi seats, untouched for 40 yrs. I can't wait to check them out with him to see if the buildsheet is there and how new they look, when I go and check on my car over at his place.
