Default Some '69 Z questions???

Can someone help me with some questions about '69 Z's please? What color should the brake booster be? Would an early May car with D80 show that option on the trim tag? When was chambered exhaust cancelled? (I think I remember it to be late '68????). Thanks in advance

In Jerry's book it states the power brake booster should be gold cadium dichromate and the chambered was discontinued as standard on Nov. 25, '68 but optional until May 19 of '69.

I believe Benny's silver COPO has the spoiler but not a D80 on the trim tag. He has pictures of the car on the show room floor with the spoilers. My 69Z has spoilers but no D80. I have the original short spoiler for an early car. Probably non X coded cars did not have the D80 anyhow.

No D80 designations on trim tags until close to the end of May. Definitely not a 2nd week of May car. If you have a tag you are unsure of, but don't want the whole "public spectacle" debacle, I would suggest a pm to Mark C or Kurt S. They are very accomodating, and have thousands of tag pics for comparison. Either of them could probably tell you the earliest known date for a D80 designation.

That is correct, my car is a 05A car. With spoilers, and no D80 on the tag. But i had a camaro judge, say that my car, couldn;t of had spoilers from the factory. Because there was no D80 on the trim tag. I got the pics and the orginal owners statment to prove differnet. BBenny
