Looks like the only thing you have is his word that's it's a Yenko.
Doubtful.....

They went a little crazy and painted everything body color. Trunk, fenderwells, etc...

lousy job putting the trim tag back on as well! also a 69 yenko stripe on a 68 and it would have had a stinger hood, not a cowl hood

If a real '68 Yenko, where's his Y# tag?.
And 68's had a unique hood...it was the 67's that had the stinger style..
Not that they made any ragtops but '68 Yenkos were first Copo 9737 cars which have MM Trim Tags & 140 Speedos..
Being an export car it's possible it could've had an MM T'Tag which would've made things even more confusing!.

cabro is short for cabriolet or convertible

the term for a "convertible" , which was a roadster with roll up windows, from the late 20's

roadsters used side curtains to keep the weather out

the cabriolet was quite an improvement, nicer top and sealed windows

anyway, a lot of people still use the term cabriolet for a convertible, obviously still in Europe

The DSB black CA plates are WAY off for a 68, so assume they are for "display" only, they would have been from 64 or 65, NOT 68

VW used the "Cabrio" for the rabbit/golf drop top.

Would a cabriolet be sex in the back seat of a convertible?
