Default E85 Ford Mustang and Bill Elliott go to Talladega

This is the same E-85 Ford Mustang that Dave Despain of Speed TV said "Arguably the fastest Mustang on the planet." after it went over 252 mph at Bonneville driven by Danny Thompson last August. The E-85 Ford Mustang has been reconfigured to NASCAR specs and will driven by the legendary NASCAR champion Bill Elliott. Elliott holds the record for the fastest stockcar.

Hajek Motorsports Museum has one of the most impressive collections of vintage record breaking race cars in the country. One of the cars in this collection is Bill Elliott's 87 Ford Thunderbird that is still today the fastest stockcar. May 1, 1986 - Race car driver Bill Elliot set a stock car speed record with his Ford Thunderbird in Talladega, AL. Elliott zipped around the track at 212.229 mph. This classic race car will be on display at the Talladega Super Speedway during the event.

Hajek Motorsports has reserved the entire Speedway for this event. This is a special invitation to our partners, sponsors and media to attend if possible.

Good luck Awesome Bill!

Default Re: E85 Ford Mustang and Bill Elliott go to Talladega

So he is taking the Mustang to Talladega to see how fast a lap he can run ?? Is Ford even thinking of putting the Mustang into NASCAR ? There was talk of the Nationwide series being Mustang, Challengers and Camaros
