Default 16 yr old learning the manual transmission

we are driving slow in the parking lot until he gets used to the extra pedal, the lever thing between the seats, no power steering and no power brakes.

the camera really pisses him off.

Oh it was great! Except it was the other way around for me. My dad was ripping gears in my car! HA HA

In about 1985 I pulled into a Nissan dealership by the PIT airport to pick up a part for my buddies Datsun pickup, I was driving my 72 Camaro, immediately a salesman descended on me telling me I needed to drive a Z car (Nissan) and I would never want to drive that old Camaro again! So off we went, he drove it out of the lot and tryed to impress me with the car's power. When I got behind the wheel I was taking it easy when he said " you need to jump on it hard to see how great this car is" So next stop sign I pulled out real easy again when he said it again, so I nailed it and when I got to about 6k rpm I pulled second...notice I did not say I let off the gas (it did bark the tires pretty good)...needless to say he didn't have much to say the rest of the way back to the lot. And of course I didn't buy it!!! Moral of the story, never tell a kid to "give it some gas"

I don't wanna get anybody in trouble (or grounded) but it looks to me he's a little more familiar with that '65 Chevelle than Dad thinks! Like maybe after Dad goes to work or something!
