[b]I was researching Frank Dominiani, an SCCA racer from the fifties and sixties, and came across these
old Don Yenko shots I thought would be enjoyed. Frank is in his eighties and still comes to work everyday of the week, running his speed shop on Long Island. He has been in the same location for over sixty years! I have some shots of him and his shop I'll be posting as soon as I get it together. - Yenko at VIR - - ![]() - ![]() - ![]() - - Earlier #12 partially hidden - notice the air horns! - - ![]() - ![]() - ![]() - - '61 Yenko Team Cars - - ![]() - - ![]() - ![]() -

W
![]() The close up first pic of #12 is a '56 or '57 and appears to be the same car w/ the airhorns in the background behind the '63 coupes and GS also the one track shot...closer scrutiny of the rearview mirror may help clarify which year it is?. And cool Monza gas filler...just like the Motion cars had later!. The other #12's on the track and the one parked w/ #10 all look like they're 61's.. Cool Firestone truck in the background behind GS #02...and is that Don's truck in the shot w/ the Porsche 356?. You always come up w/ the best pics Dog...thanks for sharing!. ![]() ~ Pete |

[b] Yes the #11 is the Grand Sport
Car's #10 & 11 were owned by Dick Thompson with Ed Lowther driving the Grand Sport Car #9 was an Ex-Sebring car driven by Grady Davis Car #51 was driven by Bob Mouat - just a cool shot with a '62 Grand Prix tow car and a '58 Ford retractable next to it! There's also a shot of Yenko's truck - - ![]() - ![]() - ![]() - ![]() - ![]() - ![]() -
