Default Front Spoiler Rods

Looking for some advise please.....how do you tell the difference between the 68 and 69 front spoiler rods and are there any markings on them that tell you if its orig GM or repop?

Let me update this request - i have been informed that there are no 68 spoiler rods.

So having this info - how do you tell the difference from the repo vs the GM??

Ed,

I have both, the repros are in the package still. I will take some side by side pics and post them.

Ed, Had a busy day but back at work now here are some pics. The repros were from Classic Industries and are surprisingly different from the originals that came in the parts pile with the car. I used a wire wheel to clean up the originals and painted them. In all the pics the repros are on the right and the originals are on the left. About the only thing the same is the lengths, the angles are all backasswards in one way or another.

Are the repros on the top and the originals on the bottom?

Dave, great pics - are there any stampings on the orig GM rods, like the MW stamped that is seen on the lockout rods and some shifter rods? Probably the same manufacture i would expect.

They didn’t use front spoiler rods in 1968 on factory installed spoilers!

Just in 1967 and 1969!
