Default I hate to ask but what's it worth?

My friend that is retirering found a G60-14 Goodyear polyglass tire that is like new tucked away in his shop. Very old. He thinks from the early 70's. Any value to it?

Tony,

Recommend posting the stamped manufacturer's date code to determine if it is old or just how old it is. I don't know of any production cars delivered with a G6014s so that would probably bring it down a notch in value. It is more of a day-two tire IMO. I am sure someone will be intersted in it.

What was on the rears of AAR Cudas & TA Challengers? I remember the rears being larger than the fronts but can't recall the actual sizes.

Thanks Sam. It is a G70-14. He is going to drop it off in the next few days. He said it has a DOT stamp, so I think that makes it a newer one.

The last tires to not have DOT numbers where manufactured in 1967 I believe, and all 70 series tires regardless of manufacture had to have DOT numbers molded into them.

Just what I remember from my Corvette showing days, and selling Goodyear tires in the early 70's. My Benchmark 1967 Lynndale roadster had original non DOT tires on it, and I have a set of (5) N.O.S. 777X15 Firestone 500 whitewalls that have a early 1968 DOT numbers on them.

What I did not mention was the 775 X 15 Firestone Super Sport 500 replacement tires were never offered on a 1967 Corvette, and I thought the "70" series aspect ratio tires were not offered on a factory production car until 1968. "Sometimers" must be setting in.......
