That wasn't a very long board either for such a big wave; normally you need a longer board for such big waves otherwise the board will bounce up and down like crazy.

Mike Parsons is a crazy guy...right along with Flea!
I've seen them surf at Mavericks in California...huge waves...Check this site out for some insane pics... Mavericks!
