Default Internet Defamation Case!

Well it looks like those Internet tough guys who like to call people out from behind a key board without substantiated facts may have their day in court and lose big time! A jury awarded $11.3 million because someone was called a "con artist" and a "fraud". Better be careful what you say boys...

The truth is an absolute defense to defamation: So the frauds and con artists out there should be aware as well. All their activities would come into evidence at a civil trial. In addition, the defendant never showed up for this trial and the judge just awarded the claim to the plaintiff without any opposition.

What are the odds that the plaintiff will ever see a dime?
