Default M&H RACEMASTER slick decoding needed!!

I need help decoding a pair of NOS M&H cheater slicks I have. Each tire has an old brown shipping label which says M&H RACEMASTER WARETOWN, MASS on it. They were shipped to California Speed & Sport Shop, Jersey Ave. New Brunswick, NJ. These tires have two segmented circumficial grooves in the slick surface and two very fine raised circumficial ridges on each side about 1/2" below the meat of the slick. (sorry, if I had a camera, I could post pictures)

Each tire has the following raised lettering: 7.0/30.5-15, NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE. Each also has an indented mold mark (between the typical 2 screw holes) with raised numbers 130. ( I believe this may be the compound #) Each tire also has yellow crayon writing on the contact surface that says,
7.0
30.5
130

One tire has a raised R-7 and one has F-7. One tire also has a mold plate (with the typical screw heads) with J491706. The other has J491805.

I'm always amazed at how Rick can decode OEM tires, but I was hoping someone could decode these M&Hs for me. The raised large letter M&H RACEMASTER logo is in outlined letters, but with no white ink anywhere. One tire has a white ink stamp about the size of a postage stamp with 2 characters in it, but I can't make them out (maybe a letter and a number?)

I mainly would like to know what date these tires are. And any other info would be greatly appreciated. (or any leads where I can find it)

Thanks guys!

Verne

Vern, I have a 71 catalog that those tires are listed in exactly. 130 and 131 are the compounds. Sam

'71 huh? I was hoping they might have been offered about 8 years earlier.... Does the description describe what that compound was suited for?

I hope someone can DATE these tires.

Sam, I appreciate your input. Thanks for the response.

Yes, 130 was for "MOVE POWER" effective for most track conditions. 131 was for "EXTREMELY" poor traction strips. The 71 catalog listing does not mean they were not available earlier.

Thanks Sam,
I wish someone could date them from the mold numbers. The faded shipping labels have zip codes on them, so I guess that dates them at least as 63+ (I think '63 was when they started that)
I did look in an Honest Charley catalog I have form 65 1/2. M&Hs are listed but these are not.

Anyway, they're still as soft and supple as new. Always stored in a cool dark place. I'm not fishing for a buyer because I had no intention of selling them, but I heard from someone I know who is looking for a pair like these for a very special car, but I have no idea what they're worth. (maybe $300.??)

I know a lot of early ones had sizes like 8.50-9.00, or 8.75-9.25, etc, so I wonder if the 7.0/30.5-15 is an earlier or later labelling technique? (I'm guessing later. I think the diameters became important later)

Anyway, thanks. Sure wish I could date them.

Verne

Again not a date, but they aren't in a 69 Midwest Auto Specialities catalog. The tire sizes are still in the 900/15 style and they show Super Stock tires with compounds of XS11/12/14 or Stock Drag tires with two visible grooves and compounds 140/150/160.
