Default Drag racing

We are needing your thoughts. As we plan the 2001 event, we have two options in regards to the racing portion of the event. One, we can cruise to Gateway on Sat. nite and be a part of their regular racing, like we did at the 1st and 3rd reunions, which would allow more people to see our cars perform, or, two, we might be able to rent Gateway for our use on Sunday, which would mean less spectators, but we could get more track time. It would be more expensive to rent the track, but I think that could be worked out. Let us know your thoughts. Tom

Tom, I think that the racing should be held in conjunction with the normal track activities. It would be a great promotional item for the track to say "Watch factory & dealer built Supercars run again!!!" and have the track offer to let the participants from the show run their cars without an entry fee. They could also offer a discounted entry price for spectators that attend both shows. This could be a win-win situation for everyone.....Rat Pack.........

Tom, both ideas have pros and cons. Would anyone want to do both? Depending on how crowded the track on Sat. night might not get many runs. Would be fun to have the track for a few hours on Sunday too and would be great for photos.
