I thought JL-8 cars were primarily Z/28's?

It is true that most JL8 cars will be Z cars, but it was not a required option (the Z28 pkg that is). Matter of fact I've seen a couple of L78 cars that were also factory JL8 cars, and there was at least one Motion car that was as a JL8 car as well.

I've heard about an original 6 cyl car that had the JL8 option. I can't remember if it was a documented car or not. I find it hard to believe someone would spend $2600 for a cyl car then add a $500+ option. But I like to keep an open mind and I guess it would be possible for someone to want that combination. Can you give us more information on this JL8 SS?

I called about an RS SS 350 convertible that I believe had the JL8 rear disk brake option. The guy who had it said he bought it from the original owner and had all original paperwork. The original purchase price was over $5,000 "because of the disk brakes," he said. He said the guy raced the car in slalom and had newspaper articles from the 70's. I was stupid and didn't check out the car. It was in Pennsylvania. It was originally Frost Green, but the second owner repainted it Hugger Orange.
