69 Chevelle SS rim back side color

I was always thought the back end of a SS rim should be grey but if you look at the inside of rhe rim it is a sand stone color. Should the back be gray or the same color as the inside if the rim

Back side of the rim should be a dove gray. Will post some pix when I get a chance.

I had some Dove Gray left from painting my wife's 1977 Ford Granada and it match really good.
