Default Most Accurate '60s Torq Thrust Spoke Paint?

Hi folks,

I have a couple sets of '60s TT-Ds that need to be redone. What's the thinking on the most accurate spoke paint finish? I've used Alodine in the past but I'm too freaked out about the toxicity to try it again.

Thanks,
Tony

Ive used it for years and I havent noticed anything odd...

Seriously though, have you contacted AR to see if they could tell you what color they use? Here is a thread on Jalopy about the same question. Some say cast blast is pretty close. I haven't tried any of them though. Sorry.

----Tony,,,If you aren't absolutely set on original I have found Corvette knock off paint (65-66) from Long Island Corvette to look really cool!......Bill S

Thanks guys.

Darrell, everything I've heard about Alodine is anecdotal...I'm sure it's okay if you use gloves and take the usual precautions. I may just go that route after all.
