Hello all -- just bleeding off a bit of !@#$ frustration ... I am in the process of R&R of the !@#$ serpentine belt and tensioner on my wife's 2.3 Ford Fusion. AND if I had the !@#$ "engineer" here that is responsible for that setup -- I'd !@#$ strangle him/her. The only thing I can figure is, they must have designed this for a !@#$ little dude with four foot arms, two inches in diameter to work on these !@#$ things! Sure hope Charley doesn't delete this with all the !@#$ language. TAZ

Why does it need changed? Those belts last forever. Or is it a tensioner issue?
The routing is the #1 design issue. Same engine in a different car might be really easy to service. But shouldn't be that bad - sorry....

Fusion has about 130K on it and this is the second belt -- I changed the tensioner this time ... it is done and quiet. Took way too many Bud Lites though ...
