Default What Frame and undercarriage Black 67-9 Camaro ?

What brand paint do you recommend for the frame/ A-arms and undercarriage/floors on a 67-69 Camaro. I was looking at the Eastwood Chassis Black in quarts...I would like to do it correct once if possible...aren't the A-arms supposed to be more glossy than the sub-frame? Thanks, Max

I like the look of GM#1050104 chassis paint - anyone else used this? I believe they recently re-released this paint as it was not being made for some time. While there are several other options that may be more durable I like the GM stuff.

I always used that paint , but have not been able to get a hold of any for some time. It works excellent and is right on for color and glossiness..(or lack thereof)My last gallon ran out on the last subframe I recently painted. I did not realize it os available again.... Thanks, I will call my Chevy dealer shortly to inquire.

I called my Chevy parts guy and he says that part numer has been superseded aparently and must be real old. Does anyone know the newer part number? Or where I can get a few gallons of this stuff? Thanks

I bought a few gallons from Chevrolet back in 2000 for $33 a gal.I know they stopped making it for sometime once they ran out of inventory, but heard they started mixing it again.
Contact Melrose T-Top international here in Cortland Il.They have,or once had the GM license to remix it..
http://melroset-tops.com/products/paint.html
..or call Classic Muscle in Salem N.C...1-800-722-4828.
They show they have a 60% gloss reconditioning paint under #1050104 for $89.95 a gal.,which they may be getting directly from Melrose.Their not showing a pic.

I had been using 1050104 for over 20 years. Used to buy it by the case. IMO it was the best stuff ever made. It covered in one coat, provided an excellent and accurate finish. It was perfect for "dipping" parts as was done by the factories. After recently running out of my old "stash" I purchased some of the "new" 1050104. It's NOT the same stuff. Its alot thinner, doesn't cover well, and produces "bubbles" when parts are dipped.
