I found this F/S add in an '83 magazine. I'd like to find one at that price today. Does it look familiar to anyone?

Looks like the grape ape or the speed shop race car?
It's a Syracuse area code, so....

I heard rumors of a black '68 sold in Syracuse in the '80's but never got any owner info. I don't think it's the race shop car as that car never saw any street duty and was modified over the years....anythings possible though?

Reverse number look up results:
"We're sorry. We did not find a listing for the phone number you entered. The phone number "(315) 635-9565" is a Baldwinsville, NY based phone number and the registered carrier is Verizon New York, Inc. However, due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider other than the registered carrier."

did you get an addy? I've done it where once I got an address, I simply phoned a neighbor or two and inquired. I've seen Yenko's for sale in national publications where they were eventually purchased by a guy down the street. The amazing thing, is that the guy down the street bought this deuce in '86, but still has it! Small town, small world!

I just spoke to the person that owned this Yenko in the late '70's. He placed that ad in the early '80's. The car was very original at the time with only a repaint of its original Fathom Blue color and a gold pinstripe was added. He purchased the car in 75 or 76 from a local used car lot for $1900.00. He didn't recall what the YS# was. The car had the 140 speedometer, SS badging on the front grille and rear fuel cap and it also had the Pontiac rims with the "Y" centers which went with the car when he sold it. I asked if the car came out of Bresee and he said no as the original owner was from Pennsylvania and it somehow ended up in Syracuse. The car was sold to a collector in Texas who flew in and paid $10K cash in '81 or '82. He thought the car had sold within the past 10 years or so as someone had contacted him with questions about it. Does anybody know where it is now?
